An adaptive fuel injection system could most likely be used for the fuel system on the H2 ICE.
Hydrogen as fuel in H2 ICE, is different from gasoline and fuel for diesel engines. Gasoline and diesel engine fuel are liquids, while hydrogen is gaseous, so the fuel system's reaction to a blockage in the injector hole will also be different.
Gasoline and diesel engine fuel, if the hole in the injector is blocked, immediately rises to high pressure, while in hydrogen it rises more slowly until it explodes according to calculations.
